A small studio with a clear way of working.
Cairnford Systems designs and builds websites, automations, and custom software for growing businesses. We're deliberately small and deliberately transparent, and honest about both.
Who is responsible
Led by Ben Horch.
Cairnford is founded and led by Ben Horch in Springfield, Missouri. Ben scopes every project, supervises every build, and is the person you talk to from first call to handoff.
Before Cairnford, Ben built and operated conversion systems for subscription businesses: landing pages, lifecycle email, checkout, and measurement. One brand grew from zero to a receipt-backed six-figure lifetime sales base. That operator background is why Cairnford sells business outcomes, not features.
We won't imply a large staff or a decade of history. Cairnford is new. What we offer instead is working proof of our craft in the Lab, a written scope before any money changes hands, and one accountable person.

How engagements work
The terms, in plain language.
The full agreement is a few pages, written to be read. These are the parts buyers ask about.
Proposal and acceptance
Every project starts with a written proposal: deliverables, milestones, price, timeline, and acceptance criteria. You sign, pay the deposit, and we schedule the start.
Payment
40% to schedule, 40% at the mid-project milestone, 20% at handoff. Projects over $40,000 can use more milestones. Invoices are due within 14 days.
Revisions and changes
Two revision rounds per milestone. Out-of-scope requests get a written change request with price and schedule impact, approved before we build.
Communication
A shared project channel, a weekly written update, and a review call at each milestone. Questions answered within one business day.
Ownership
On final payment you own the source, designs, content, and every account created. We may describe the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Warranty and care
Defects are fixed free for 30 days on websites and automation, 60 days on custom software. An optional care plan covers hosting, monitoring, and updates.
Confidentiality
Your information, data, and plans stay confidential. We'll sign your NDA or provide ours. Agency partners can require white-label delivery.
If it isn't working
Either side can end the engagement at a milestone. You pay for completed milestones and receive everything built so far, documented.
